Abd ar-Razzaq an-Naif

Abd ar-Razzaq Said al-Naif ((アラビア語:عبد الرزاق النايف)) was an Iraqi military officer and general and was Prime Minister of Iraq in 1968 until he was deposed.
General al-Naif was critically injured in an assassination attempt on 9 July 1978 as he left the Intercontinental Hotel in London's Park Lane and died the following day.〔(Arms cache found at Iraqi embassy )〕
His killer, Salem Ahmed Hassan, was quickly captured. Hassan was later convicted of the shooting at the Old Bailey and sentenced to life imprisonment in 1979.〔
General al-Naif was reportedly killed on the orders of Saddam Hussein for his political opposition to the Ba'ath Party.〔http://www.cvni.net/radio/e2k/e2k029/e2k29article.html〕
